A number of projects are common to all the community where we work and contribute to ways of strengthening pathways into higher education for remote indigenous people. The projects take the shapes of Strategic Priority Projects (SPP), forums, school visits, school councils gathering, think tank, mini-research projects and more.

Joint Remote Indigenous School Council Gathering

Joint Remote Indigenous School Council Gathering

A remote Indigenous school council gathering was held in Yirrkala from 4-6th May 2016. This was facilitated as a partnership between the Office of Pro Vice Chancellor - Indigenous Leadership at Charles Darwin University and the Yambirrpa Schools Council through the WCE initiative.

About our other projects

A number of other projects have been established since the WCE initiative began in 2014. These projects have been developed through consulting with stakeholders about ways of strengthening pathways and transitions into higher education for remote and very remote Indigenous people.

In this section, you will find information about our latest involvement in projects related to student visits on CDU campuses in the NT, Think Tank, School Council Committees and many others that will emerge from our work with the 6 remote communities in the NT.
