Jamie is a proud Bundjalung man who has extensive experience working with youth at risk, especially Indigenous youth in a mentoring and support role. In his most recent role Jamie was senior student advisor for an Indigenous Internship Program, CareerTrackers, that linked aspiring students to large private sector companies. This role entailed mentoring, pre-internship training (CV writing, interview prep and workshops around workplace survival) and also University support.
Jamie has moved to Darwin to work on HEPPP Whole of Community Engagement and is inspired by the 'ground up' and 'Participatory' nature of the initiative. Jamie's qualifications include BA Business, Grad Cert in Education and Grad Cert in Arts (Indigenous Studies). Jamie has a keen interest in sport and is looking to use this as a vessel to higher education.
