About Geoffrey
I was born on the first of August 1956 at Phillip Creek Mission. I did my pre-school and primary school education at Warrabri Settlement. In 1970, 71, 72 I attended Kormilda College in Darwin. In 1973, I attended 1st year high school at Darwin High.Mid -September 1973, transferred to Yirara College in Alice Springs. I completed my year 12 internal matriculation in 1978.
I was an Assistant teacher (cat. 1) in 1979 and 1980 based in Yirara College, Alice Springs. Then I studied Assistant Teacher training at B.I.I.T.E in 1981,1983 and 1985. In 1982 and 1984, I taught as an assistant teacher at Yirara. In 1986, I was a student at Darwin Institute of Technology which is now Charles Darwin University. I studied for twelve months, in the teacher education program. At the end of 1986 I graduated from a Diploma of Teaching.
Since then, I have worked in different fields:
1987 — Worked as a teacher at Ali-curang—Principal in Training.
1993 — Voluntary worker on Julalikari Night Patrol.
1994—98 - Assistant administration Officer at Anyinginyi Health while studying at Curtin University.
1999—2001 - Worked in Julalikari Night Patrol.
2000-2002 - MENTAL HEALTH Cert. 3 Lecturer at BIITE.
2003—2004 - Day patrol Officer with Julalikari.
2005—2006 - Mens liaison Officer
2007—2008 - Project coordinator for the Ready for School Initiative
2008—Current - Community Cultural Advisor and Liasion Officer at Julalikari
