Learning Centre Partnerships
Currently, three partners work together to run the Jaru Learning Centre
The Warlpiri Education and Training Trust (WETT)
contributes money for operational and employment costs administered through the Central Land Council.
The Warlpiri Youth Development Aboriginal Corporation (WYDAC)
Provides the Jaru Training Rooms to help young people choose the education that is right for them.
The Batchelor Institute (BI)
Employs a qualified centre coordinator whom manages the centre and Yapa tutors who run learning activities.
Together, we aim to support the development of learning centres by utilizing community driven processes that draw on the strengths of Warlpiri culture to build Indigenous research capacity and to engage youth, families and leaders in achieving educational aspirations.
