Interactive Family Mapping

This mapping project was to develop an interactive map featuring Yirrkala and homelands communities that illustrates the cultural identities, foundations, and homelands of the steering group for the WCE initiative in Yirrkala. This project was not completed. It was led by Dr. Matalena Tofa and Yalmay Yunupingu

The purpose of this project was to build an interactive web app that will present information about the steering group members of the Yirrkala Community with the view to:

  • Engage the Yirrkala community in the project
  • Provide other stakeholders (ACIKE, CDU, DET & Schools) with biographical details of each of the steering group members

Below are some pictures of the first reflection stage and gathering information. Matalena Tofa worked on adding all these information on but the pages are not available anymore to view.

Team Member Reflection: Terry Moore

I joined the team in April 2016, just in time for the team meeting at Tennant Creek, where it was realised that the team needed someone to analyse the data that was being generated across the different communities.
