Team Member Reflection: Cat Street

My role in evaluating this project was tough. There are many things that we were up against – which I tried to explain as well as I could in the final report. I saw part of my role to help in building a strong team – which I think we got to in the end. Together we had new experiences, many laughs, and some difficult moments. I made some really great friendships and really appreciate everyone, the community based staff in particular, opening up to me and being very generous with knowledge, friendship and humour.

I feel lucky to have had the opportunity to work in this project alongside such experienced and knowledgeable people. This includes not only the WCE team, but the stakeholders who were involved either as part of community level partnerships or those at the strategic level. I’m grateful for everyone’s time, effort and contributions. I certainly learned a lot and came out the other end a much more confident and grounded person. I hope that the relationships that were developed will continue to grow and bring benefits to the communities that we worked with.
